Well, unlike all the kids around here, I have been looking forward to today with high hopes. Everyone was supposed to go to school today. Notice I said supposed to. Unfortunately, two of the kids came down with some sort of virus and therefore, only half of them are headed to class today.  So much for getting a couple hours of uninterrupted time to clean up the remnants of our holiday vacation at home and a much needed break for Mom.  Stay tuned with crossed fingers as we see if this becomes something we share as a family.

So, one of the things that I have wanted to do for awhile now is start my own blog.  I’m not really sure why I have had this desire, I just know that I have and with a new year starting, now seemed like as good of time as any.  That being said, I have NO clue what I’m doing.  In that sense, this is a bit like parenthood.  I have no instruction manual, just an Internet connection and hopefully something worthwhile to say. At least occasionally.
